Way of Santiago

O Pino is the Galician Town which boasts more kilometres of the French Way to Santiago de Compostela, specifically eighteen, spanning the parishes of San Verísimo de Ferreiros, San Miguel de Cerceda, Santa Eulalia de Arca, San Miguel de Pereira and Santa María de Castrofeito.

The tour starts by the parish of San Verísimo, in the places of Calzada and Calle, and advances to close from Lavacolla airport, now in the city of Santiago de Compostela.

Hidden among the vegetation, are details that make reference to the cult of St. James: milestones of stone with their scallop shells, or even small altars improvised by the pilgrims in a natural rack. Step by step walker will discover panoramic vegetables conjugated with the buildings and grounds of which are distributed by all of this municipality.

Special attractions include: the Hermitage of Santa Irene with its fountain and its robleda, Calzada and Rua places with its fountain and the Pazo of Two Houses, the leafy oak that accompany us all the stretch, rest areas and hostels (Santa Irene and O Pedrouzo) for the rest of the pilgrim.
